Not in the docs means we did not find the feature in the tool's official documentation on the date above. Products change quickly: if one of these has shipped it, write to coterie@offlinestudio.eu and we will correct the table.
Coterie: the one that coordinates
Most tools in this list are excellent session managers: you start agents, they work side by side, you read the diffs. Coterie is built for the step after that, when the coordinating itself becomes the job.
- It plans. An architect model reads the repository and turns your goal into small tasks with acceptance criteria and the files each one may touch. Nothing runs until you confirm.
- It keeps agents apart. Tasks that share files never run at the same time, so parallel work merges cleanly.
- It checks with a second opinion. Every change is reviewed by a model from a different provider than the one that wrote it, and Coterie runs your own tests on the exact files that were reviewed.
- It does not stop when a plan runs out. Coterie reads the usage that Claude Code, Codex and Antigravity report and gives the next task to an agent that still has room.
- It lets you try the result. When a goal is done, the finished project opens in its own window, cut off from the network, before anything merges.
It is a native Windows app built with Tauri, it uses the official CLIs with your own sign-ins, and it never reads their credentials. It is currently in beta and runs on Windows only.
Conductor
A polished Mac app for running Claude Code, Codex and Cursor agents in isolated workspaces, with a well-liked review and pull request flow. Its documentation is explicit that it is not available for Windows or Linux yet. If you are on a Mac and want a clean session manager, it is a strong choice. On Windows, it is not an option today; see Conductor for Windows.
Nimbalyst
A visual workspace for agents, tasks, docs and diagrams, free for individuals and available on Mac, Windows and Linux. It works with Claude Code and Codex. It is strongest as a place to think and organise around your agents; planning and dispatching the work remain up to you.
Emdash
An open source desktop app with the widest agent support in this list, 34 CLI agents, plus ticket import from Linear, Jira and GitHub and remote machines. Good if you want to try many agents and already plan your work in a tracker. Review means comparing diffs side by side yourself.
Claude Squad
A lightweight terminal tool that runs each agent in a tmux session and a git worktree. Fast and free under AGPL-3.0, it suits people who live in the terminal. It needs tmux and the GitHub CLI, and its README does not list native Windows support; see Claude Squad on Windows.
What about Vibe Kanban?
Vibe Kanban was popular for organising agents on a board. The company behind it closed on 10 April 2026; the project continues as open source under community maintenance. It still works locally, but new users should be comfortable relying on volunteers for fixes.
How to choose
- On a Mac, and you want a clean session manager: Conductor.
- You want the most agents and import tasks from a tracker: Emdash.
- You live in the terminal: Claude Squad.
- You are on Windows, use more than one AI subscription, and want the planning, the cross-review, the tests and the limits handled for you: Coterie.
